Welcome to the Grace Notes Media blog today. If this is your first visit to the blog, I would like to invite you to browse other posts where I introduce the latest songs available on my Grace Notes Media online store. Each week, a new song is released, and each week I share the song's inspiration.

All songs are spirit-driven and written with a purpose to be worshipful, peaceful, inspirational, and graceful.

Today, I share the inspiration behind my latest song, which was written to remind us that when we pray, we should pray as if the prayer is already answered.

Lately, life has been dishing out a lot of curveballs. But that’s how life is. Isn’t it? One day you're on top of the world, and the next day it’s like the rug has been swiped right from under you without any kind of warning.

Let me share my latest curveball with you.

Recently, I woke up with extreme pain and was literally blind in my right eye. I’ll be honest. It was frightening. I wasn’t able to get an immediate appointment with an eye doctor, so I prayed this was just a temporary issue with my eye. I washed my eye with saline solution and took Ibuprofen for the pain. The day of my doctor’s appointment, I let my pastor’s wife know I was on my way to see the eye doctor, and she immediately started a prayer chain. I’m going to tell you now, we have some serious prayer warriors at our church. Anyway, by the time I arrived at the eye doctor’s office, my eyesight started coming back. Instead of being completely blind, I could see, but it was blurry. The eye doctor discovered that I had an ingrown eyelash… an eyelash growing on the INSIDE of my upper eyelid. That was the culprit causing all the trouble. Well, the doctor plucked out the eyelash, and the pain went away immediately, and I was able to see clearly again. Friends, I truly believe prayer changed the outcome of my eye blindness. When we pray, as if the prayer has been answered, we get the expected results. That’s the joy of  Mark 11, verse 24: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

This song, Pray Like It’s Done was written to remind us that prayer works. Listen to a sample of this song on the Grace Notes Media online store.
